Extemporaneous Products
As an intern you are required to make 6 extemporaneous products in total.
Product formulation type:
- A Cream
- An Ointment
- And Other: Lotion, paint, paste, mixture, parenteral infusion, cytotoxic or eye drops
In total 6 products with different formulas - must differ by more than simply the strength of the active ingredient (s).
- 2 creams with only differing strengths of active ingredients cannot both count to your overall 6 products.
- 2 creams with differing active ingredients, such as 1 with salicylic acid and another with salicylic acid/coal tar, can both be counted towards your overall 6 products.
Must submit the following documents:
- Submit standard report for each product
- Statutory declaration completed by preceptor after 6 products have been made
- Submit to ITP provider
