Extemporaneous Products

As an intern you are required to make 6 extemporaneous products in total.

Product formulation type:

• A Cream
• An Ointment
• And Other: Lotion, paint, paste, mixture, parenteral infusion, cytotoxic or eye drops

In total 6 products with different formulas - must differ by more than simply the strength of the active ingredient (s).

• 2 creams with only differing strengths of active ingredients cannot both count to your overall 6 products.
• 2 creams with differing active ingredients, such as 1 with salicylic acid and another with salicylic acid/coal tar, can both be counted towards your overall 6 products.

Must submit the following documents:

• Submit standard report for each product
• Statutory declaration completed by preceptor after 6 products have been made
• Submit to ITP provider
