Time Management
The life-changing time management system:
Mastering time management is paramount.
I've experimented with numerous time management systems.
However, none have had the profound impact of the following Calendar.
The following Calendar employs a three-fold approach.
You divide your time into:
- A year
- A week
- A day
The Year
Commence by strategizing the months of the year.
Write the months of the year across the top of a page.
Down the left column, jot down the corresponding days.
Record your year's events and plans on the designated days.
Viewing your entire year on one page allows for thoughtful planning of:
- Trips
- Holidays
- Upcoming events
The Week
Next, blueprint your ideal week.
Within a Google Calendar, allocate time blocks for each activity in your ideal week, including:
- Wake and sleep time
- Deep work
- Exercise
This provides structure for your days and weeks.
It also enables you to identify free time for planning and rescheduling.
The flexibility enhances productivity and allows for prioritization of activities.
The Day
Complete your Calendar by planning your ideal day.
Refer to the weekly schedule you've already created and adjust time blocks as needed.
To ensure meaningful daily progress, I recommend noting down three key priorities, or "daily quests," in the following areas:
- Work
- Health
- Relationships
This practice helps maintain focus on the most crucial activities.
